How we work

We support space industry companies in transferring their existing space technologies and expertise to create innovative solutions for other sectors right here on Earth.

We assist companies from non-space industries in identifying new opportunities within the space sector by fostering spin-in technology for future space programs. This could be relevant for companies within AI, production solutions, manufacturing, or innovative materials.

Across all sectors, we help companies leverage satellite data to unlock new capabilities and boost their competitiveness.

We help companies with commercial exploitation of facilities and infrastructures in space, such as projects aboard space stations. This could, for example, be relevant for pharmaceutical companies looking to do research in microgravity.

Know the process
Book a meeting
Start by reaching out to us to schedule an initial meeting. We’ll assess your company’s needs and define how the ESA Technology Broker can best support your innovation journey.
Prepare for space
Before we can provide our free consultancy services, we will prepare a simple Prepare for Space package contract. This document will define the scope of the innovation project and outline the expected outcomes of our collaboration. The contract will be reviewed and signed by the European Space Agency. We will work closely with you to create and finalise this contract, ensuring the process is straightforward and transparent.
Activities
Each project is tailored to your company’s specific needs. Activities may include targeted workshops and one-on-one consultations to identify market opportunities in the space economy, as well as guidance on aligning your competencies and technologies with industry demands. We can help you understand space sector standards and requirements, refine your value proposition within the space supply chain, and prepare strong bids for ESA Invitations to Tender (ITTs) or other funding calls. Support may also extend to proposal writing, connecting you with partners and customers in Denmark and internationally, and providing long-term coaching to help you succeed in the global space ecosystem.
Tracking progress
As part of the collaboration, your company may be asked to provide light reporting on the overall progress of the project to the European Space Agency.
