DTU, Denmark’s leading technical university, has introduced a new Space Tech Entrepreneurship master’s specialization—the first and only accredited master’s program in Space Tech Entrepreneurship in Europe. This unique specialization allows you to develop your own space tech startup as an integral part of your degree, providing the perfect blend of cutting-edge education and hands-on entrepreneurial experience.

Become a space tech entrepreneur

SpaceTech Entrepreneurship is a specialization under the Earth and Space Physics and Engineering MSc program at DTU Space. The specialization mixes courses in space engineering and technology entrepreneurship, providing you with the qualifications to innovate new space technology and bring your product to market.

join esa bic and get €60K for your startup

During or after your master’s, you can apply for incubation at ESA BIC located at DTU, where you can receive up to €200.000 in non-equity funding for your startup. The ecosystem around DTU also has numerous soft-funding opportunities to support the development of your space-tech startup.

March 1st is the application deadline for the first round of admission for Danish and EU/EEA applicants for the 2025 autumn intake. A supplementary application period opens in the spring - for more information about the program and application visit DTU’s website

Develop a deep technical profile

You will get a deep fundamental understanding of space technology through courses in Earth and Space Physics and Engineering. This program will provide you with the qualifications needed to invent new space technology and function as a CTO of your space tech start-up.

Get hands-on entrepreneurial experience

You will get a strong profile in entrepreneurship, with courses aimed at using your own idea to teach you the ins and outs of the entrepreneurial world. You will be able to test your entrepreneurial skills through innovations challenges and competitions such as DTU’s X-tech finals.

Build a network in the space ecosystem

Throughout your studies, there will be multiple events to network and get support from key stakeholders in the space ecosystem in Denmark and Europe.

Work on your start-up as part of your studies

By taking the SpaceTech Entrepreneurship specialization, you can use your ETCS credits on projects and courses that directly support your startup idea.
