Kick off Space for Inspiration 2026 with an evening of informal networking

Join the Danish space ecosystem and international stakeholders from across the global space industry for an evening of informal networking on Copenhagen's waterfront ahead of ESA's Space for Inspiration 2026 conference on commercial space exploration.

Hosted at Green Island, a floating sustainable venue in the heart of Copenhagen, the evening features networking boat trips through the Copenhagen canals, alongside music, stone-oven pizza, and an open bar from 17-20. The event will be a great opportunity to experience Copenhagen and mingle with the global space community.

Free of charge.

Organised by Space Ventures DK, which manages the ESA Business Incubation Centre and the ESA Technology Broker in Denmark.

Program

17:00-17.35
A sneak peek at Space for Inspiration: Life and Health in Space

Warm up for Space for Inspiration with a keynote on one of the conference's core themes: keeping humans alive and well beyond Earth.

A lunar economy is taking shape, and crewed Mars missions are moving from ambition to timelines. Both mean keeping people in space for months, or years, at a time. The human body was never built for that. Preparing it — and keeping astronauts healthy once they're up there — is one of the hardest problems standing between us and a more permanent human presence off-planet. Former ESA flight surgeon, MD, PhD. Maybritt Kuypers takes us inside where space medicine is heading: the latest research, the open questions, and the trends shaping the next decade. The keynote runs from 17.00 to 17.35 at IDA Space, right next door to Green Island: IDA Conference, Kalvebodbrygge 31-33. Room: Salonen (ground floor)

Start your Space for Inspiration Mingle here, then head next door for networking drinks and pizza when it wraps. Sign up for Gravity Club and your seat at the keynote is included.
